ABOUT

A B&W headshot of Luca, smiling front on. His hair is spiked and there are plants in the background to his left.

Luca is a Central Coast based musician and performer, and well known in the music and theatre industry. His experience includes singing in Gondwana Choirs (2011 - 2013), Newcastle's Starstruck (2013 - 2015 as a featured vocalist, 2016 - 2018 as a featured soloist), Sydney's Schools Spectacular (2014 - 2018 as a featured vocalist), The Arts Unit's Solo Vocal Camp (2014 - 2016), and Talent Development Project (2017).

From 2011 - 2017, Luca was part of the percussion section for Hunter Wind Ensemble, occasionally playing with the Newcastle Army Band when they would join the ensemble for performances or workshops.

Playing percussion as well as appearing onstage in multiple musicals, his credits include playing in the orchestra, as well as appearing onstage for the role of Lowbutt in "Honk" (GMS 2018), playing the role of Tyson in "Under the Blue Blood Moon" (Jopuka 2018), Cat in the Hat and Horton the Elephant in "Seussical" (Jopuka, 2022), and most recently, Johnny in "American Idiot" (Jopuka 2023).

Luca graduated from The Grove Studios Academy in 2019, which led him to join a few of his classmates in forming indie pop-punk band, After Hours, where he picked up the bass. In 2023, Luca was approached and asked to join heavy rock band, Annakye, as one of their two singers, and a year later, he and his band mates aim to debut Jinjo - a heavy grunge and metalcore band - at their gig with Spy Vs Spy in February 2024.

Throughout his experience as a vocalist, songwriter, and instrumentalist, he has trained under, and worked with people such as Greg Gould, Peter Cousens, Philippe-Marc Anquetil, Jacob Neale, Imogen Clarke, and Adrian Breakspear among others.
